CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for an Electrical Technician III. Type: Contract Job Title: Electrical Technician III Location: Wilmington, NC Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Wilmington, NC Pay Rate: Based on experience Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm Education: AAS in Electrical Engineering Technology, BS in Electrical Engineering Technology, or BS in Electrical Engineering (Equivalent work experience may be considered in rare circumstances) Description Perform hands-on installation support for new or modified production equipment Provide mechanical discipline support in the construction, installation, debug, troubleshooting, and startup of equipment and automated systems, including hands-on work up to the point of turnover to operations at both domestic and international manufacturing sites Majority of time will be spent on the floor working on equipment Supervise and provide direction to internal maintenance teams and external contract trades during all aspects of equipment installation and conversion, including demolition, construction, installation, testing, and debug of production equipment Requirements Knowledge of power systems for 480VAC and below Determines and recommends the best solution from a series of alternatives within plant guidelines Translates engineering solutions to requirements, then further to process and/or equipment designs that deliver required performance criteria Interprets electrical drawings and schematics to aid in troubleshooting Collaborates effectively with IT, Mechanical, and Process Engineering to understand system functionality and design requirements Hands-on ability with equipment using standard hand tools, instruments, and measurement/alignment devices Ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced team environment Strong focus on safety with a proactive job site safety approach Self-starter with strong results orientation; able to present information to project and site leadership Required Qualifications Education AAS or BS in Electrical Engineering Technology, or BS in Electrical Engineering Equivalent work experience may be considered in rare circumstances Qualifications Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience working with process and automation equipment Additional Information No third party resumes will be accepted Drug testing and/or other employment-related inquiries may be conducted CTG will consider for employment-qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of all applicable local, state, and federal laws All interested individuals MUST be able to work on a W2 Tax basis (no C2C or third party vendors) CTG is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer CTG is an E-Verify Company To be considered for this opportunity, please apply directly through our website by clicking the link below or email your Word version resume and salary expectations to ....
