Hotel Sales & Operations Manager - Jackson, MS

About Us: United Contractor Services is one of the fastest growing construction specialty contractors in the nation. Recently, we acquired a hotel near one of our major job sites. The hotel is primarily used to house our team members, but we are expanding its use to serve other trades and companies working in the area. We're looking for a proactive and people-oriented Hotel Sales & Operations Manager to help fill vacant rooms and keep the operation running smoothly.

Job Summary: This is a dual functioning role that blends sales and operations management. You'll serve as the face of our hotel, working directly on the job site to build relationships with other contractors and trade professionals. Your goal: keep the hotel at capacity by promoting it as a convenient and cost-effective solution for housing out-of-town crews. You'll also handle day-to-day issues that come up with hotel operations - from coordinating with cleaning staff to handling maintenance concerns and resolving guest issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Outreach

• Network with other trades and project managers on-site to offer accommodations
• Build partnerships with subcontractors, vendors, and neighboring businesses
• Promote group booking options and long-term stay packages
• Maintain a sales pipeline and follow up on leads

Hotel Operations

• Oversee daily hotel functions including check-ins, room assignments, and guest services
• Address and resolve issues related to maintenance, housekeeping, and customer service
• Ensure smooth coordination between staff, vendors, and company leadership
• Monitor room availability and occupancy rates, and report regularly to management

• Experience in sales/business development, hotel management, or customer service
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; confident talking to tradespeople and contractors
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Organizational and multitasking abilities
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
