Electrical Mechanical Technician
Job Description
Our client, a privately held, global manufacturing company is looking for an Electrical/Mechanical Technician to join their their team. Ideally, they'd like a candidate who not only can perform the duties listed below, but can think strategically as there may be opportunity for this person to advance in the near future.
Duties:
Troubleshooting and responding to breakdowns. Repairing mechanical and electrical equipment, analyzing failures and making recommendations for improvements.
Documenting repair details as well as permits and other safety documents.
Executing assignments regarding preventative maintenance, along with completing associated documents and observations.
Installing pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems then maintaining.
Skills:
Expert comprehension of CAD and/or other mechanical documents/drawings.
Understand function/use of variable speed drives and PLC's
Identify, along with understand pump, pipe, pressure regulators, flow sensors, solenoids, switches on pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Read electrical schematics and identify wiring for motor starters, relays, photo eyes, limit switches, etc.
Ability to mentor and train others
Experience:
Candidate must have a minimum of three years' experience as a multi-craft technician and 5+ years experience repairing/maintaining equipment.
Possess technical knowledge of VFD"s, PLC's, pneumatic and water piping systems along with CMM systems like SAP
Education:
Two year degree or formal trade training (Mechatronic Degree preferred)
