Welder/Fabricator Job Description This position offers opportunities for a skilled Welder/Fabricator on 1st shift (6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) from Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays There is flexibility in working hours Responsibilities Perform heavy plate welding on 1", 2", and 3" steel using Flux Core welding techniques Repair steel mill and metal foundry equipment, focusing on big tables and base plate welding Read and interpret mechanical blueprints for detailed and assembly work Execute the initial fit-up of welded assemblies, communicating directly with engineering when required Utilize fork truck and pendant-controlled overhead crane for proficient manipulation of work Manually lift 20-25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally Essential Skills Minimum of 3 years experience in blueprint reading Proficiency in 1 inch plate fitting and welding At least 3 years of experience in Flux Core/MIG welding Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $46000.00 - $60000.00/yr. 2 weeks PTO, 401k match, insurance/benefits.
