Seeking a U.S. Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse for an Electrical Building Engineer III role with a top property management firm. This position oversees maintenance staff and ensures smooth building operations through expert management of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. A High School Diploma/GED, 5+ years' experience in a similar role, Universal CFC Certification, and strong mechanical, electrical, and HVAC knowledge are required.
Salary Potential: Up to $110,000 annually
Shift: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM M-F
Benefits: Full, plus 12 holidays and 20 days PTO for new hires!
Essential Duties and Accountabilities
Supervise and support day porters, maintenance technicians, and maintenance assistants
Perform preventative maintenance and daily operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler, and control systems
Operate and maintain major systems including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, air handling units, fire alarms, and switchgear
Troubleshoot building system issues, perform repairs, and escalate complex problems to the Chief Engineer
Respond to tenant service requests with a customer-first mindset
Assist in budgeting for operating, maintenance, and capital improvement projects
Support review and oversight of construction drawings and tenant improvement (TI) projects
Conduct emergency response actions and correct safety issues
Assist with seasonal tasks, including snow/ice removal and roof drainage maintenance
Perform other duties, as assigned
Requirements
US Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse highly encouraged
High School Diploma/GED required
5+ years' experience in commercial building engineering or facilities maintenance required
5+ year's expierence with full building electrical systems required
Electrician expierence required.
Universal CFC Certification required
Basic Electrical and Refrigeration Training/Certificate required
OSHA 10 card or equivalent safety training required
Ability to interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical documents
Must be available for emergency on-call rotations
Skills and Abilities
Strong leadership and supervisory skills
Excellent problem-solving ability in standardized and emergency situations
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
Skilled in HVAC controls and mechanical systems troubleshooting
Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs. and perform physical duties.
Solid understanding of basic math, percentages, fractions, and conversions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Commitment to safety and service excellence
