Aircraft Mechanic Job Description The role involves repairing and installing flight controls, as well as the repair and installation of interior assemblies and furnishings on S64 heavy-lift helicopters. This position is part of full rebuilds and heavy checks within an MRO environment. Responsibilities Receive task card each morning and review blueprints and documents for scheduled inspection activities. Select appropriate tooling from the tool crib or personal toolbox. Perform repairs and installations using hand tools, power tools, micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges. Coordinate with Quality leadership and mechanics to determine follow-up repairs as needed. Essential Skills 4+ years of aircraft maintenance experience. A&P license or heavy-lift or firefighting helicopter experience (preferably both). Proficiency with mechanic, aviation, and aircraft tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with S64, S-64, S70, S-70 helicopters. Work Environment Work in aircraft hangar and shop areas located in Medford, OR, and Central Point, OR, which are civilian and military shop hangars. Utilize a very advanced electronic tool crib with access to all types of tools. The shift is Monday to Thursday from 0600 to 1630 and Friday from 0600 to 1430, typically working 44 to 48 hours per week. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CENTRAL POINT, Oregon. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $42.00/hr.
