We are seeking a skilled and reliable pipe layer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing and repairing underground piping systems for water, sewer, and storm drainage. Responsibilities: Lay and align pipes in trenches Check slopes and grades Cut and fit pipes to specifications Follow safety procedures and site plans Operate or work around heavy equipment Requirements: Proven experience as a pipe layer Ability to read blueprints and trench plans Physical stamina and attention to detail Work Environment: This role is an outdoor position requiring work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. Work schedules are typically Monday-Friday, beginning at 7 AM, with 8-10 hour shifts totaling 45-50 hours per week. Some Saturday work may be required based on weather conditions and project deadlines. The position involves working in trenches, around dirt, asphalt, and concrete. Employees must wear appropriate protective gear, including jeans, steel-toed boots, and company-provided PPE. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract-to-Hire position based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
