Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineer/Designer serves to design
electrical systems
for buildings such as
high-rise buildings, data center, multifamily, retail/mixed-use spaces, and commercial spaces
.
In this role, you will:
Design
power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
for various facility types
Produce
electrical design drawings
using Revit software
Perform
field investigations
to assess existing conditions and gather project data
Ensure
quality control, scheduling, and programming
of electrical design deliverables
Coordinate and communicate progress with
mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) teams
Perform
load calculations, equipment sizing, and short-circuit analysis
You will be a great fit if:
You have demonstrated
project coordination and facilitation experience
You have
5+ years of experience in electrical design and construction
You have a solid understanding of
power distribution, emergency power systems, grounding, and lighting design
You have experience with
breaker coordination, arc flash studies, and voltage drop calculations
You are familiar with
electrical codes (NEC), energy efficiency standards (IECC), and industry best practices
You have experience with
high-rise electrical systems, hospitality power infrastructure, and renewable energy integration
Skills/Abilities:
Strong
verbal and written communication skills
for design and specifications
Proficiency in
Revit
Ability to work collaboratively with
architects, engineers, and contractors
Location
: Tysons, VA
Travel
: Minimal
