Your Role as a Field Engineer
Thompson Thrift is looking for a motivated and detail-driven Field Engineer to be the heartbeat of our on-site operations. In this dynamic role, you'll play a key part in keeping projects on track, on time, and on budgetensuring everything runs like a well-oiled machine from the ground up.
As our go-to person on-site, you'll be involved in every phase of the construction process, coordinating teams, tackling challenges, and supporting smooth execution day in and day out. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love being where the action is, this is the opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Working closely with the project team to monitor project safety, cost, scheduling, quality control, and punch list pletion.
Completing, updating, and correctly filing quality control checklists.
Assisting with the coordination of material deliveries as directed by site management.
Coordinating and take responsibility for the successful pletion of specific trades or scopes of work performance from their start of work through final punch.
Overseeing and providing day-to-day guidance to subcontractors and their hourly trade employees.
Assisting with punch process as directed by site management.
Assisting as needed with the daily reporting of subcontractor headcount on the worksite for each of the required construction trades.
Ensuring job site safety by policing and assisting with clean-up.
Submitting notifications of inadequate cleanup with pictures to responsible subcontractor and ensuring situations are resolved.
Taking pictures as needed of construction progress on a daily/weekly basis and saving them in the appropriate job files.
Assisting the project team in any capacity directed.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
Experience: At least 1 year of construction experience required. Relevant internships or equivalent hands-on experience in construction may also be considered to meet this requirement.
Foundational knowledge of construction terminology, processes, and plan reading.
Exposure to construction scheduling, cost tracking, and job site safety practices.
Proficient with basic puter applications, including Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore or similar construction software is a plus.
Strong munication skillsboth written and verbalwith a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Self-motivated with a proactive attitude, problem-solving skills, and a strong desire to learn and grow within the pany.
Receptive to feedback and able to follow through on direction to ensure tasks are pleted effectively.
Required Certifications (must be obtained within 90 days of hire):
First Aid/CPR
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health Training
Compensation and Benefits:
Annual Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000* per year, depending on experience.
Total Rewards: We offer petitive base salaries with project bonus potential, subsistence pay, cell phone stipends, auto allowances, merit increases, paid holidays, Paid Time Off, and prehensive medical, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability benefits, along with a 401(k) plan with a match.

This range represents the amount Thompson Thrift believes, in good faith, is the range of pensation for this position at the time of posting for jobs performed in Colorado. The actual pensation may vary based on geographic location, experience, education, and skill level. Compensation is not earned until vested and payable per pany policy. Bonus, benefits, and other pensation are not guaranteed and may change at the pany's discretion.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This position requires mobility on active construction sites and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Tasks may involve exposure to outdoor elements, uneven surfaces, power tools, and loud environments. The team member is required to work in pliance with pany safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
