Construction Equipment Company has immediate opening for a Yard/Maintenance position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assists in setting up, uses and maintains tools and equipment associated with the concrete pumps mounted on trucks

- Assists in the loading and unloading of concrete placing systems and attachments

- Assists operator(s) with maintenance at the yard with:

- Replacing blown pipe, elbow, and gasket replacement

- Cleaning of all pumps thoroughly to include, but is not limited to:

- Cab, remotes, side boxes, system, pump and boom)

- Pipe, hoses, and clamps

- Setting up and handling system (pipe and hoses) for concrete pumps

- Yard Duties

- Maintain wash bay

- Clean yard, trash ect.

- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Prior experience preferred

- Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical problems

- Clear understanding of equipment and safety manuals

- Good verbal communication skills

- Ability to work with customers and ready mix producers

EDUCATION:

- High School Diploma or GED preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Meet DOT requirements for hearing and seeing

- Excellent verbal communication skills

- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds to an overhead position

- Ability to push and pull up to 80 pounds

- Ability to stand for long periods of time

- Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary

- Possess good manual dexterity to climb on and around the pump truck in all weather conditions common to the north Texas area

- Ability to walk on uneven terrain, cleated walkways and wire mesh

- Ability/willingness to work with outside temperatures that include excessive heat, cold, wind and precipitation

This work is usually performed outside and the Concrete Pump Operator (Trainee) may be subject to all types of environmental conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
