Austin Bridge & Road is seeking a Contracts Administrator to support our heavy civil construction projects from our corporate office in Coppell, Texas. This role is responsible for managing all downstream contract and insurance-related activities. The ideal candidate will assemble, review, and coordinate contracts while working closely with project managers and external partners. Their work ensures smooth project execution and compliance across all contractual processes.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and facilitate the execution of contracts with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers—managing over 300 contract items annually.
- Review and track certificates of insurance for downstream parties, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements—over 300 items annually.
- Serve as a liaison between project managers, the risk management department, legal teams, and external partners to resolve issues related to subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate and organized contract documentation, including internal bonding records and insurance waiver files.
- Provide contract-related guidance and support to project teams to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Ensure all contract activities align with company policies, legal standards, and project requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and departmental needs.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in contract administration, preferably within the construction or insurance industries.
- Solid understanding of construction contracts and related insurance coverages.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in contract management tools and software, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, and Microsoft Teams.
- Experience with ERP systems, pay application platforms, or payment processing software is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in contract administration, with a strong understanding of construction contracts and insurance coverages, preferably in the heavy civil or government contracting sectors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, Microsoft Teams, and contract management systems; experience with ERP, pay application, or payment software is a plus.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, legal, and risk management, and to effectively manage over 300 contract and insurance items annually.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate contract records, ensure compliance with internal policies and legal standards, and provide contract guidance to project teams.
