Assistant Project Manager
Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager will play a crucial role in project coordination and support for an Owners Representative involved in hospital construction projects. The role includes managing and organizing documentation, reports, and schedules, while providing direct support to a Senior Project Manager and occasionally attending onsite meetings with clients or contractors. Maintaining accurate and consistent electronic files and documentation is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support hospital construction projects as an Owners Representative.
  • Manage and organize project documentation, reports, and schedules.
  • Support a Senior Project Manager in various tasks and attend onsite meetings.
  • Maintain accurate electronic files and documentation.
  • Manage meeting minutes, note-taking, and other relevant documentation.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in construction administration and documentation control.
  • Strong administrative support and project coordination skills.
  • Experience in healthcare-related projects.
  • Excellent organization and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with construction management, site construction, and safety.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or similar preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare project construction preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.
  • Experience communicating with contractors, end clients, and key stakeholders.
Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, but candidates must be based in the Chicagoland area. There will be occasional requirements (once per week or once every other week) to attend client meetings at hospitals. This offers the flexibility of remote work while maintaining essential face-to-face interactions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $36.06/hr.
