It is responsible for safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment used in the most complex and difficult construction, hauling, and maintenance operations.**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**Graduation from a standard senior-high school or GED equivalent, as recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) or Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA); **and**One (1) year recent experience in the operation of heavy construction equipment to include tractors, heavy bulldozer, excavator, front end loader, backhoe, dump trucks, and low boys in the performance of rough and finish work on unique and routine projects.**CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT/PROMOTION/DEMOTION/TRANSFER:**Must complete and accept Certification of Understanding and CDL Condition of Employment/Promotion/Demotion/Transfer forms.**NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:**Valid operators driver license and an acceptable driving record. (PBA 9/10/01)Employees are required to obtain a Class A (UNRESTRICTED) Commercial Driver License (CDL) within 120 days of date of employment/promotion/transfer/demotion to this position. (See condition for details.)In an emergency and/or standby situation, an employee in this position must be able to report to his/her regular workstation in a maximum of 30 minutes from the time of notification. This evaluation will comprise 40% of the final grade. The skills test will comprise the other 60% of the final grade.The skills test for the position of Equipment Operator III (Street) is scheduled for June 25, 2025.Candidates meeting the minimum qualifications will receive an email notification to self-schedule for the skills test. You MUST self-schedule online or you will not be allowed to take the test.You will be allowed twenty-four (24) minutes to complete two (2) stations.
