Project Engineer

Project Engineer Location: San Leandro, Ca Salary: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 annually You are a proactive, solution-driven professional with a passion for civil construction. Our client is a long-standing, full-service civil construction firm known for delivering high-impact infrastructure projects across Northern California. They are seeking a Project Engineer to support large-scale grading, paving, concrete, and underground utility work. What you will be doing: Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in coordinating day-to-day field activities Prepare and manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and change orders Perform quantity take-offs and support the estimating team during preconstruction Track labor, materials, and scheduling to ensure alignment with budgets and timelines Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal crews to ensure timely delivery of project components Maintain documentation such as as-built drawings, safety logs, and daily reports Participate in project meetings and facilitate communication between teams and stakeholders What you bring: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline preferred 1-3 years of experience in heavy civil construction, preferably in concrete, paving, or utilities Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and estimating techniques Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera) Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites in Northern California What you can expect: We believe that the right job can change a life, and the right talent can transform a company.
