Accounting Project Coordinator - Temp (Possible Temp-to-Hire) - Novato - $30-$38.46/hour

This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected Bay Area real estate development and construction firm with growth opportunities. We're seeking a tech-savvy, detail-oriented accounting professional to support project financials and assist with draw processes. Construction experience is a plus.

Duration: Temporary (with potential for extension or hire down the line)

Location: 100% onsite in Novato ( mile from SMART station)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, flexible hours

Pay: $30-$38.46/hour DOE

What You'll Do:

Track and manage project-related financials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Prepare monthly draw requests for lenders (AIA G702/G703 forms, lien waivers, invoices, and change orders)

Coordinate draw meetings and establish draw schedules with lenders and project stakeholders

Review and verify subcontractor invoices, lien releases, and compliance documentation

Assist in organizing and maintaining project binders and documentation

Support certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance

Collaborate with project coordinators and assist with reporting and tracking in Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

2+ years of solid accounting experience

Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, reporting)

Tech-savvycomfortable learning new systems (experience with Viewpoint/Spectrum is a plus!)

Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a deadline-driven environment

Organized, self-motivated, and eager to jump in where needed
