Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Ultrasonic Welding Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating ultrasonic welding equipment to join plastic or metal components according to specified work instructions, ensuring high-quality standards and production efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor ultrasonic welding machines in accordance with manufacturing specifications.
- Load and unload parts into the machine; align materials properly for accurate welds.
- Inspect parts before and after welding to ensure quality standards are met.
- Adjust machine settings to accommodate different materials, thicknesses, and product specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
- Record production data, such as quantities produced, downtime, and material usage.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to resolve product or process issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications a plus.
- Previous experience operating ultrasonic welding machines or similar manufacturing equipment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Manufacturing/production floor
- May involve exposure to moderate noise levels and machinery
- Use of PPE (gloves, safety glasses, etc.) required
Hourly Range: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
