Survey Crew Chief - Civil Engineering & Land Surveying

Salary Range: $70,000 – $85,000 (based on experience and qualifications)

We are seeking a dependable, experienced Survey Crew Chief to lead field operations for a diverse range of projects throughout Montgomery, Prince George’s, and Anne Arundel Counties .

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role with a strong, supportive team, where you’ll work on meaningful projects that shape local communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead survey crew operations and fieldwork for construction stake-out and topographic surveys

• Operate robotic total stations, GPS, and other advanced surveying equipment

• Function independently as a one-person crew when necessary

• Utilize field-to-finish coding to ensure accurate data collection

• Coordinate with office staff to meet project deadlines and maintain quality standards

• Provide clear documentation and communicate effectively with project teams

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of field experience as a Survey Crew Chief

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Windows)

• Familiarity with robotic total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment

• Certified Survey Technician (CST) is a plus

• Residence near Montgomery, Prince George’s, or Anne Arundel Counties preferred
