Job Summary:

The Engineering Prototyping and Fabrication department (also known as the Bike Shop) within the Systems Integration and Test directorates Environment Center is charged with providing rapid prototyping, early demonstration, product development support, and a wide range of capabilities and services to help engineering teams achieve demonstrated solutions throughout the product development process. These capabilities include engineering and test support, procurement coordination, and electrical and mechanical fabrication. The Bike Shop is seeking a Rapid Prototyping Master Scheduler to support our prototyping shop operations. They will work with project managers and fabrication shop leadership to ensure the development and execution of an accurate, timely and effective shop floor schedule.

What You Will Do:

  • Build and maintain master schedules in a fast-paced high volume, low mix, dynamic manufacturing engineering fabrication environment.

  • Work with the shop project management team and shop leadership to optimize the shop schedule to ensure we are meeting our customer delivery commitments.

  • Use our internal shop floor management system (RAPID) to sort, query, and analyze shop schedule data to best manage bottlenecks and dynamic constraints.

  • Work with the software team to oversee maintenance and continued development of our internal shop floor management system (RAPID)

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five (5) years of experience implementing shop floor control processes in two or more of the following areas: material requirements planning, factory floor scheduling, workflow tracking, capacity planning.

  • Experience using MS project or similar scheduling tool to manage complex scheduling constraints

  • Experience managing schedule constraints and working with task/project owners on mitigation strategies.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Highly organized, efficient and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

  • Machine shop, mechanical fabrication, or electronics fabrication background a plus

  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills and the ability to work cohesively in a diverse teaming environment

  • Advanced experience with MS Project

  • Ability to communicate schedules timely, clearly and effectively with project managers, shop leadership and department managers.

  • Experience working SAP ERP, and MS Office Suite

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
