What You'll Be Doing
Operate excavators and other heavy equipment to extract and move materials efficiently
Conduct pre-shift inspections and perform basic maintenance on equipment
Follow safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents promptly
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain workflow
Monitor material quality and ensure proper handling and stockpiling
What Are We Looking For
Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy equipment in a quarry or similar environment
Strong awareness of safety standards and commitment to safe work practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting and maintenance
Willingness to work night shifts and adapt to changing schedules
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
Work Environment
Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
Physical Demands of the Job
Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment
Frequent walking, standing, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
Manual dexterity and visual acuity required to operate controls and inspect equipment
Tolerance for working in dusty, noisy, and physically demanding environments
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots
