Residential/Commercial maintenance tech/handyman needed

  • Portland, Oregon
  • Full Time
Full description

Uptown Properties takes pride in our team members having a complete team-player mentality and this is 100% certain for our Maintenance Technician position. We are looking for an accommodating and selfless person that can handle the variety and changes that occur in our environment each and every day

One of the largest single-family home property management companies is in need of a SKILLED HANDYMAN, to do work on the properties we manage. We are looking for someone that is entrepreneurial-minded and can run their own schedule. The perfect candidate would be someone that has worked for themselves before and now needs a stable income.

In regards to communication, you must move with a natural sense of urgency (Very Important!), be upbeat, and do what you say you're going to do 100% of the time.

Every team needs someone who understands the reason behind handling the "small things." Some people excel in the details and others don't - and that's ok! Must be a jack of all trades (light plumbing, light electrical, carpentry etc). You will be interacting with the residents living in the homes, so you must have excellent communication skills.

If this summarizes you, let's talk. If you struggle in performing small tasks, troubleshooting problems, have common sense for repairs, or coordinating schedules - this will not be a good fit for you!

Responsibilities:

This position is fully in the field. You will be responsible for creating your schedule from the work orders we give you. We will need a valid drivers license, a reliable vehicle covered by insurance, and you'll just need to have your own tools.
