Job Opening: Maintenance/Handyman
Location: Bayview Hunters Point, San Francisco, CA
Position Type: Full-Time (Monday Friday, 7:00am-3pm)
We are looking for a dependable and motivated Maintenance/Handyman to join our commercial property management team. You will work closely with a small team to maintain our large art studio facility, ensuring the properties are kept in good repair and working order.
This is an entry- to mid-level position. Candidates must be local and able to reliably commute daily.
Responsibilities:
- Repair major and minor issues with buildings
- Complete maintenance and repair work orders on time, independently and as a team
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Work well under direction of maintenance coordinator
Qualifications:
- Experience in maintenance preferred
- Familiarity with hand-held tools, power tools, and equipment
- Self-motivated and self-starter, ability to see bring projects to full completion
- Current CA Driver's License & ability to legally work in US is required
- Ability to handle physical workload is necessary; will need to lift / push / pull heavy objects on occasion
Duties:
- Building: Framing, drywall, tape/mud, painting. Repair walls, floors, ceilings.
- Electrical: Repair light fixtures, outlets, switches, conduit, etc.
- Plumbing: Repair pipes, toilets, sinks, faucets, etc. Unclog / snake drains as needed.
- Landscaping: Mowing, weed whacking, trimming, blowing, power washing, etc.
- Carpentry: Repair wood stairs, landings, window / door frames, siding, etc.
- Janitorial: Cleaning of restrooms, facilities, grounds, as needed.
