Are you ready for a challenge?!We are looking for an engineer to design, develop and deploy calibration and test instrumentation systems for Apples outstanding products. This engineer will work closely with multi-functional groups (Design, ME, EE, SW, Ops, etc.) throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase to ensure the success of current and future Apple products.

Description

Description You will be responsible for the design specification, bring up, validation and deployment of automated instrumentation to calibrate and test Apples products through NPI and mass production. Responsibilities will be tuned to match the candidates technical background, but you may be encouraged to: Architect instrumentation systems (including HW specification) and maintain those systems through productionWork with our mechanical engineering team to specify and validate the required mechanical fixtures & automation systemsDevelop, debug, and optimize automation softwareImplement sophisticated audio processing and ML algorithms to evaluate acoustic performance of systemsAnalyze large amounts of data generated from your instrument systems and adopt data-driven approaches to solving engineering challengesPerform failure mode root cause analysis and resolution, debugging from the system level down to the component levelWork closely with Apple Acoustics/N&V, system EE, product design, firmware, operations, and logistics teams.Frequent interactions with contract manufacturers/vendors; developing SOPs, debug instructions, and documentation

Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $128,300 and $237,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
