Plumber**
**Job Description**
The role involves installing and maintaining pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures within a manufacturing facility. You will use a variety of power and hand tools to troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing mechanisms. Responsibilities include planning, assembling, installing, maintaining, and pressure testing all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, drainage, and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
**Responsibilities**
+ Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as indicated.
+ Follow building plans and blueprints.
+ Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
+ Record and document repair and machine maintenance information.
+ Understand and read plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements.
+ Follow lockout-tagout procedures and all other safety protocols.
+ Perform preventative maintenance activities.
+ Remove and replace worn components.
+ Communicate effectively with all plant personnel.
+ Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other professionals.
+ Identify all safety risks and requirements.
+ Keep project site clean and organized.
+ Make regular inspections of structural facilities or equipment and read blueprints for specifications of particular work assignments for ongoing projects.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3+ years plumbing experience in a commercial or industrial facility.
+ Knowledge of state plumbing codes and regulations.
+ Plumbing certification or licensure.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Journeyman or Masters License preferred.
