HVAC Service Technician**
**Job Description**
Join our team as a skilled and dependable Commercial HVAC Service Technician, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems in commercial environments. This role involves removing old systems, installing new ones, and performing routine maintenance tasks. You will train junior team members, communicate with clients, and manage equipment orders while ensuring compliance with local HVAC codes. Your work will span office buildings, retail centers, and industrial facilities, involving HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, and cooling towers.
**Responsibilities**
+ Remove old HVAC systems and install new ones.
+ Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems.
+ Train junior team members to enhance their skills.
+ Communicate effectively with clients and customers.
+ Order and maintain equipment to ensure availability and functionality.
+ Ensure compliance with local HVAC codes and standards.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1-2 years of commercial HVAC experience.
+ EPA Section 608 Certification (Type I & II or Universal).
+ Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
+ Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and split systems.
+ Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in confined spaces or at heights.
+ Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with building automation systems (BMS).
+ Familiarity with energy efficiency practices and LEED standards.
+ Strong customer service and communication skills.
+ Ability to manage parts inventory and service documentation.

**Work Environment**
Work is performed in commercial settings, both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and mechanical hazards. You may be required to travel between job sites and work occasional overtime or weekends. The Greater Philadelphia area is serviced by 16 techs, with shifts from 7-3pm or 8-4:30pm. Projects include schools, churches, and office buildings. You will have access to a company vehicle and supplies including meters, gauges, hand tools, ladders, nitrogen, and vacuum. Recent projects include design/build projects at Helium Comedy Club, Parklane at Bellingham, Wellington at Hersheys Mill, Temple Beth Or, and Dendrite International.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Paoli, Pennsylvania.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
