Sheet Metal Installer Job Description We are seeking an experienced sheet metal installer with a minimum of five years of experience in the aviation industry. This role requires more than fabrication skills; the ideal candidate must be proficient in reading drawings and bending boxes to execute full installation tasks. You will work with limited supervision to install fabricated parts, assemblies, and antenna doublers in specified aircraft locations, both pressurized and non-pressurized. You will also identify engineering discrepancies and collaborate with Satellite Leadership and Engineering team members to devise alternate solutions when necessary. In addition, you will identify locations for secondary avionics system components and display adequate troubleshooting skills. Responsibilities Install fabricated parts, assemblies, and antenna doublers in specified aircraft locations. Identify engineering discrepancies and collaborate with team members to find solutions. Determine locations for secondary avionics system components such as relays, terminal strips, and heat sinks. Disassemble and reassemble aircraft interiors, instrument panels, and avionics equipment bays. Ensure proper handling and storage techniques before and after installation. Essential Skills Minimum of five years of experience in sheet metal installation in the aviation industry. Proficiency in reading drawings and bending boxes. Experience with airframe, repair, and aircraft structures.
