This Orion Engineering Supervisor role will lead a team of technicians through the manufacturing processes, fabrication, and production execution of Orion Spacecraft products. We are seeking an Engineering Supervisor to have the pleasure of managing a team of technicians through the manufacturing processes, fabrication, and production execution of Orion Spacecraft products.

Summary of Key Duties for this position:
Interface with multiple engineering and support disciplines to ensure continuous Orion production.
Work closely with PP&C, Quality Engineering, and the NASA customer to properly prioritize manufacturing workloads and support all cost and schedule commitments.
Ensure employee training is up to date, and will be responsible for coordinating recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, work assignments, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
Be responsible with leading the Manufacturing Technician Team to successfully generate Orion products through their full life cycle. This includes: Member of the Vehicle Integration Team (VIT), Maintain Technician Certification and Training, Resource Management of Daily and Overtime Workload, Ensures Production Orders are accurate, followed, bought up and closed in a timely manner, assists in the planning of detailed operating schedules, statuses work performed, assimilates new technicians/intern into the work group, integrates nonconformance work into existing schedules and provides cause and corrective actions for closure, and supports the overall production and delivery of products.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership skills to create an efficient, inclusive work environment. Ability to effectively assign, prioritize work tasks and make real-time processing decisions on the floor.
Plans and Authors procedures for Orion Spacecraft elements and provides floor support for a mechanical manufacturing and electrical environment.
Experience with CAD/CAM software.
Strong communication skills including technical writing.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret various technical procedures, reports and engineering drawings.
Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office software suite.
Experience with Manufacturing Process Instructions. (Spacecraft preferred).
Strong leadership and organizational skills are essential.
Proven ability manage resources within a manufacturing environment to meet cost, schedule, and quality parameters. Crane Lift Experience providing Technical Expertise on Critical / Flight Hardware Lifts, Authoring of Lift Documents, Performance of actual Lifts with Review / Signoff on Lift
Production Orders.
Superior People, Leadership & Communication skills allowing the ability to work with & facilitate communication among a wide range of processing support teams and individuals.
Knowledge of Production Manufacturing and Assembly Processes
Familiarity with Windchill, Enterprise Resource Management (ERM), SAP & Part, Materials, & Processes (PMP) & VECAMs.
Moderate experience in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
Ability to think "outside the box" for innovative solutions to challenging programmatic issues and risks.
Experience in the review of engineering drawings and FFMEAs.
