Mechanical Engineer PE

Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer PE, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from drawings, specifications, cost estimating, and technical reports. Your role involves the design and development of various projects across the state of Florida. Additionally, you will mentor and provide leadership to more junior engineers within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead projects from the concept phase to completion, ensuring adherence to specifications and standards.
  • Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for various projects.
  • Produce technical reports and documentation for project development.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their development within the team.
  • Collaborate directly with clients to develop proposals, designs, estimates, and oversee project execution.
Essential Skills
  • 10+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, particularly in HVAC/MEP design.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Florida.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design, Revit, AutoCAD, and CAD systems.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, BOM, and MEP engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in government or federal work, such as fire stations, correctional offices, emergency stations, and shelters.
  • Background in architecture, civil engineering, civil/structural, and Civil 3D.
Work Environment

This position is primarily based in an office environment, with occasional travel or site visits required. The company offers opportunities to work on diverse projects and fields, with significant growth prospects and leadership opportunities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00/hr.
