Industrial Construction Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of industrial construction projects, including estimating, planning, subcontractor coordination, and project documentation. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial construction processes and excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quantity takeoffs, estimates, and proposal development.
  • Develop and manage subcontractor scopes and pricing.
  • Review and coordinate shop drawings and submittals.
  • Order and sequence materials, providing effective solutions as needed.
  • Assist with project planning, including mechanical, civil, and concrete methods, schedules, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Manage subcontractor/vendor buyout, commitments, and scope execution.
  • Develop project budgets based on current estimates and proposals.
  • Assist Project Manager with Schedule of Values (SOV) development and Owner invoices.
  • Estimate and quote extra work, document changes, and ensure extras are logged and tracked in Viewpoint.
  • Complete and track project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, safety forms, drawing logs, material logs, equipment logs, and time/material tickets.
  • Work with the project team to develop project and look-ahead schedules.
Essential Skills
  • 4 years of experience as an Industrial-focused superintendent.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with large industrial CapEx projects and industrial renovations in sectors such as chemical, food and beverage, power, grain, and agriculture.
  • Strong understanding of construction management and industrial electrical systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to work with Bluebeam.
  • Experience training direct reports and working with a Project Manager.
  • Strong ability to work directly with various stakeholders.
Work Environment

This position is onsite in an office with a very casual dress code, typically jeans and polos. The company is very family-oriented and places a high priority on safety. Work is conducted outdoors on heavy industrial/manufacturing client sites, including food and beverage, utilities, and processing industries.

Pay and Benefits

Salary range of $60,000-110,000

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $95000.00/hr.
