Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical Design Engineer needed in St Louis for a leading Engineering and Construction firm. This person will join an exceptional team of engineers focused on the design and construction of power generation facilities, including fossil, hydrogen, solar, nuclear, and energy storage. Primary responsibility will be design. Ability to manage procurement of Electrical Equipment is also important in this position. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of experience in Electrical Engineering and an EE degree.

responsibilities:

• Perform electrical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
  
  
• Modify and review production drawings.
  
  
• Design electrical components for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers.
  
  
• Apply strong knowledge of commonly used electrical engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry.
  
  
• Research and compile project related data as required by the project managers.
  
  
• Efficiently utilize a number of design software tools to perform engineering calculations and physical plant designs.
  
  
• Compile information for client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration.
  
  
• Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations in support of project execution.
  
  
• Act as a field engineer on construction sites.
