Grade Superintendent

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
-Strong working knowledge of safety rules, regulations, construction layout, and specifications
-Have knowledge of underground utility work as well as the operation of most types of construction equipment, including maintenance of all work equipment
-Supervise a crew of one (1) or more employees depending on the project
-Work with Supervisor and Project Managers to develop and execute an effective work plan and schedule to meet project goals.
-Prepare or assist the Supervisor in the preparation of daily, weekly, or monthly job tracking documentation and employee time records
-Maintain good attendance and safety record and set an example for others to follow
-Job requires steady to intermittent and repetitive physical activity including standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, walking on uneven ground, lifting, carrying, pushing, shoveling, and raking
Minimum Qualifications: -Five (5) years or more preferred in underground utility excavation and general construction operations.
-One (1) year or more managing/supervising construction crews
-Have verifiable experience as an equipment operator
-A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred
-Valid driver’s license
-Must be able to work day shifts and night shifts. Shifts may vary according to project demands
-Must be able to work in all weather conditions
-Must be willing to travel if job requires
-Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
