Job Description Job Title: Project Manager- School Construction Salary Schedule: Classified; CHCCS Salary Page Reports To: Executive Director of Facilities Salary Grade: 113 Work Location: Lincoln Center FLSA Status: Nonexempt Work Schedule: 12 Month Position Summary The Operations Project Manager provides construction management and administers contractual adjustments and payments as outlined in contracts while working closely with outside design firms during the construction process Essential Duties

  • Provides quality and professional management in support of maintaining, renovating and improving the function, safety, comfort and sustainability of all campus facilities
  • Administers contractual adjustments and payments as outlined in contracts and works closely with outside design firms during the construction process
  • Familiarity with government procurement regulations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate with a variety of stakeholders
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Some positions may require licensure by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors
  • All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions
  • Must be up to date on Building Codes, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other State and Federal Regulations
  • Requires a valid North Carolina driver's license or ability to obtain one prior to start date
  • Evening work occasionally, Night work occasionally, Overtime occasionally, Weekend work occasionally

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move objects weighing up to 30 lbs., climb ladders, work in mechanical equipment areas, read and understand plans and specifications and wear safety shoes
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
