J. Moraga Construction is Hiring General Laborers AND Class A Drivers!

J. Moraga Construction, Inc. is seeking skilled and reliable General Laborers with valid Class C License, Class A Drivers, Equipment Operators, and Underground Utility Locators to join our team. For those with experience in operating construction equipment or locating underground utilities, please make sure to reference that on your resume or during time of interview.
The position is full-time. Compensation will be based on experience and skill-set.
Class A - Responsibilities:
-Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
-Experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of route driving and freight handling.
-Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
-Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols on the road.
Class C - Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris and setting up equipment
Perform physical labor tasks including digging, lifting, and carrying materials as needed.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced workers to complete assigned tasks.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency on site.
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Clean and maintain trucks, tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Construction Laborer or similar role is preferred
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods of time
Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
Exceptional self-management, organization, and communication skills
Must be able to lift 50 pounds to waist level, raise 20 pounds over head, and climb 10 stairs without restrictions
Experience
Previous experience in construction or related fields is preferred but not required; we welcome entry-level candidates who are eager to learn.
Familiarity with basic construction tools and equipment is a plus.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions accurately.
A commitment to safety practices on the job site is essential.
