AFT is looking to expand the Quality department and is looking for a Q.A. Inspector.
The Q.A. Inspector supports the efforts of the Q.A. Supervisor and Quality Manager by implementing and maintaining the Companys Quality System to ensure the consistent production of quality products. The Q.A. Inspector must understand the Companys operational work processes. He/she shall report to Quality Management or Quality Engineering.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: the duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Inspection of materials, work in process and finished product to ensure conformance with work orders, blueprints, specifications and applicable codes or standards, such as First Article, In-process, Final, Flat Pattern, and sign off shipping documents.
Write routine reports, including SPC requirements and updates existing quality records.
Works with Production to maintain product identification and traceability by monitoring the work order traveler.
Implements statistical techniques required for verifying the acceptability of the manufacturing process and products.
Coordinates RMA-MRB activities and assists the disposition of nonconforming products and participate in all phases of the MRB process.
Audits production, shipping, and other processes to ensure their compliance with established procedures to protect the quality of AFTs manufactured products in all stages of the manufacturing process.
Assist Quality Management in source inspection of subcontracted suppliers, audits, quality plans and customer source inspection.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Read and understand blueprints, including but not limited to, GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5, technical procedures, customer's requirements, and respond to questions from manufacturing personnel.
Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Very good understanding of the use of statistical process / quality control
Must be able to interpret SPC charts to recommend improvements to the manufacturing process.
Effectively communicate customer requirements and direct/guide personnel.
Possess the interpersonal skills needed to be a team player.
