You should have 2 to 4+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with a heavy construction or equipment rental background. Intermediate experience with major & minor repairs of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engines on heavy construction equipment. Experience with Tier 4 and Tier 4 final engines and aftertreatment systems preferred. Experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and equipment repairs. Must have the necessary tools you need to perform repairs; averaging $5,000+ in value. Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications. Understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods. Safety oriented, maintaining industry and Sunstate safety standards performing equipment repairs.
