CAD Drafter

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CAD Drafter to produce technical drawings and plans for use in manufacturing, construction, or engineering projects. This is a 12 month contract assignment that has a hybrid or possible remote schedule located in the North Haven CT area.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in CAD software and able to interpret technical information to create accurate and detailed plans, diagrams, and models.

Qualifications

• Certification in Drafting, CAD, or related field.
  
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or relevant industry-specific software (e.g., Microstation experience preferred, ).
  
  
• Understanding of drafting principles, drawing standards, and technical specifications.
  
  
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
  
  
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  
  
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

responsibilities:

• Develop 2D drawings and models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or other CAD software.
  
  
• Translate conceptual sketches, specifications, and notes into precise technical drawings.
  
  
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure drawings meet project requirements.
  
  
• Revise drawings based on redlines, field notes, or design changes.
  
  
• Maintain organized drawing files and documentation according to company standards.
  
  
• Ensure drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.
  
  
• Generate and update Bill of Materials (BOM), drawing logs, and supporting documentation.
  
  
• Assist in preparing construction documents, fabrication drawings, and permit submittals.
