**About the Role:**

The individuals performing services will report directly to the client Data Center Services (DCS) Engineer. Initial training will be provided by the DCS Engineers but it is expected that the selected rm will manage subsequent training for new individuals. This service is not intended to take the place of the responsibilities of the Engineer of Record for the projects and there are no requirements for providing PE stamped or sealed documents while performing the services outlined below. Though the experience and the background of Professional Engineers to perform these services are preferred. The engineering resources will follow the Owners specifications, standards for quality, and commissioning methodology.

+ Location of project(s): Charleston Metro Area to include Moncks Corner, Summerville, and St. George

+ Onsite presence 5 days a week.

**What Youll Do:**

+ Review detailed short circuit, coordination, and arc ash study (study performed by outside rm) results including, 30%, 65%, and 95% releases.

+ Provide comments and compare study results at each release phase and compare for conformance to client SCCAF study guidelines. b. Provide technical support for Project Managers in resolving electrical systems design and technical issues.

+ Review electrical equipment construction protection plans, provide comments on the plan, and perform periodic validation of the equipment protection functionality.

+ Confirm that contractors are conforming to protection plans as permanent equipment is delivered to site and contractors are maintaining logs.

+ Assist in authoring processes and procedures for electrical equipment energization and testing.

+ Serve as technical resource for electrical equipment vendors and manage vendor relationships for electrical equipment.

+ Provide technical support for equipment issue resolution and disputed electrical equipment issues.

+ Work with client engineering to roll-out medium voltage quality standards and perform periodic inspection of medium voltage terminations on site to confirm adherence to established quality standards.

+ Review medium voltage pull calculations, walk through cables pulling processes and perform periodic oversight of medium voltage cable pulls.

+ Perform hands-on troubleshooting, identify repair plans, and participate in critical commissioning of electrical equipment such as substation switchgear, paralleling switchgear, low voltage switchgear, protective relays, HMI systems, power quality meters, and power monitoring systems.

+ Work with client engineering to roll-out electrical system torque standards.

+ Periodically inspect manufacturer and eld torqued connections on site to confirm adherence to established quality standards. j. Serve as expert electrical resource for on site installation contractors to discuss electrical substation and data center equipment installation, operation, and integrated functionality.

+ Serve as liaison with local utility company to coordinate substation energization, utility site access, and coordinate all utility related design coordination.

+ Validate redlines for electrical print/electronic panel schedules.

+ Review NETA testing reports and provide support for review of NETA reports and failed components, validate equipment failures, and assist with manufacturer resolution of failed systems.

Administrative Services (25% effort)

+ Participate in commissioning meetings

+ Understand single line diagrams, sequence of operations and operational considerations to avoid conflicts with operations or downstream efforts. i

+ Provide input on program and site specific requirements to subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliance with requirements.

+ Submittal Reviews

+ Full review of submittals for temporary provisions. Ie. temp power, temp cooling, load banking, ush and ll, etc. ii.

+ Review of proposed substitution requests before submission to EoR.

+ Review ushing plans and procedures (PCW, LTCW, FO, etc) to ensure they meet specifications. iv. Ensure all expected submittals are received and reviewed.

Site Inspections (75% effort)

+ First of a Kind installation reviews

+ On site review of installation for compliance with site requirements and Operational sta expectations.

+ Set the standard for future installations to be best in class. b. Commissioning Support

+ Cover non-critical system checks.

+ Review relevant test reports, ie. SCCAF, Test and Balance, NETA tests, HVAC and hydronic pressure tests, etc. for non-conforming data.

+ Assist with troubleshooting when commissioning issues arise.

+ QA/QC inspections.

**What Youll Need:**

+ Preferred 10 yrs relevant experience for engineering support role.

+ Minimum 4 years experience with eld engineering / mission critical construction.

+ Solid construction background.

+ Strong communication skills.
