Heavy Equipment Mechanic

What you will do:

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all motorized and stationary equipment including mono-fill facilities.

• Develops and conducts preventive maintenance plan, to include daily inspections of machinery and equipment to assure adequacy and timeliness of necessary repairs.
• Interpret manuals and troubleshooting guides as required to perform repairs.
• Safely performs repairs and maintenance on motorized and stationary equipment.
• Sets up and configures mono-fill equipment.
• Performs grounds keeping and minor building repairs.
• As needed, operates mobile and stationary equipment, including excavators, loaders, bobcats, skid steers, and tire shredders.
• As needed, perform tire mono-fill operations duties such as receiving and stockpiling tires, recovering tires from mono-fill storage cells, dispatching truckloads of outgoing materials
• Occasionally provide supervision during the night shift or day shift
• Requisition parts and supplies needed for the job.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory compliance standards

Experience and abilities you will need:

• High School
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Basic welding skills
• Basic fabrication and layout skills
• 3 years or more operating Heavy Equipment
• Machinery and Heavy Equipment Maintenance
