Structural Engineer (Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week)

Job Location: Flushing, New York

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering field, and at least 24 months of experience in a related occupation such as Structural Engineer, Structural Inspector, Civil Engineer, Structural Designer, Construction Engineer, or Architectural Engineer.

Alternatively:

- Masters degree in one of the above-listed fields and at least 12 months of experience in one of the above-listed related occupations.

Job Duties:

1. Collaborate with Principal/Professional Engineers to design building structural members. Develop analysis models for lateral load analysis using advanced structural software. Perform detailed calculations and design connection details. Prepare comprehensive structural drawings to support construction documentation in alignment with project standards.

2. Perform structural special inspections on various scales of building construction projects in the field. Execute inspections in accordance with NYC standard code requirements and other regulatory guidelines. Analyze and report field conditions, identifying discrepancies with contract drawings or unsafe issues, and compile comprehensive reports, including TR-1 structural inspection documentation, for review by the supervising Professional Engineer.

3. Produce and refine CAD drafting for structural plans and detailed drawings. Manage the preparation and organization of complete drawing sets for distribution, ensuring precision and compliance with project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

- Familiarity with structural engineering software such as SAP2000, ETABS, AutoCAD, or Revit.

- Familiarity with NYC Building Code and TR-1 report preparation.

- Certifications from ACI or ICC are a plus.

Work Schedule:

Full-Time 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9:30am 6:00pm)

- Annual Salary (Before Tax Deductions): $96,138
