Field Service Mechanic**
**Job Description**
As a pump/valve mechanic, you are required to inspect, repair, and perform routine maintenance on pumps and valves, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
**Responsibilities**
+ Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair pump equipment to meet customer, OEM, and industry standard specifications.
+ Disassemble equipment to access, remove, clean, and inspect components.
+ Inspect and record component measurements using instruments, tools, and gauges, and provide inspection reports.
+ Investigate and determine the root cause of failures.
+ Determine proper materials for repairs as per the Bill of Materials (BOM).
+ Replace seals, bearings, gaskets, impellers, and pump casings to meet hydraulic requirements.
+ Set and operate dynamic balancing equipment.
+ Perform final testing and inspections.
**Essential Skills**
+ Heavy equipment and pump repair expertise.
+ Ability to troubleshoot industrial pumps and rotating equipment.
+ Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs.
+ Disassemble and reassemble pumps and rotating equipment.
+ Blueprint reading and manual machining skills.
+ Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and grinders.
+ Minimum five years of experience in pump repair or related rotating equipment.
+ Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Analytical and interpersonal skills.
+ Attention to detail.
+ Extensive knowledge of and ability to use hand tools, precision measuring, and testing equipment.
+ Ability to work with limited supervision.
+ Ability to travel to and work at customer sites along the east coast.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
Work Remote
Paid 40 hours guaranteed, will have down time at home, which will require you to service truck, keep clean, organize your tools, replace tools, etc. During time at home you will also be responsible for reporting on the jobs, submitting expenses, etc.
