Project scopes vary as will the roles of theCE for each project.**Job Duties and Responsibilities**Assist the Construction Group to manage capital projects through theentire life cycle from definition to closeoutParticipate as a member of project teams to develop project scope,project cost estimate, project scheduleParticipate on site field / scope visitsAssist others in developing schedule including critical pathsDevelop detailed construction plans and identify outage requirements toimplement new facilities, Identify required permits, & Develop detailedestimates.Work with Utility Company major accounts group regarding outages thataffect external/internal customersDevelop construction contract bid packages; review responses andparticipate in vendor selectiono Develop bid package / RFPo Conduct pre-bid meeting with contractorsParticipate in design constructability reviews for all disciplines(site, foundation, electrical & relay, T-Line) to identify and eliminatecostly expenses during the construction phaseDevelop detailed construction plan, which includes a list of outages,exact work dates, and construction resource requirementsIdentifies and addresses all project safety hazards and environmentalconcerns. Responsible for monitoring and routine reporting on projectconstruction schedule and costPerform quality assurance checks during constructionMonitor schedule and progress versus requested in service dateResponsible for closeout of construction contracts and as-builtdocumentationMonitors that all Utility Company procedures and processes are followedso that we will comply with all regulatory requirementsProvide Construction Management over site to contractors responsible forconstructing and commissioning Transmission Substations and TransmissionLines across the Utility Company System**Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):**Bachelors Degree in Engineering required;Degree must be from a college or university with an accreditedengineering program (ABET);Requires ten (10) years or more applicable experience in theconstruction of capital projects;Must have superior interpersonal, leadership, communication,organizational, and presentation skills;Requires a proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally andwritten;Must possess advanced knowledge of MS Office suite of products(especially MS Word and MS Excel).**Preferred Qualifications:**Experience gained in the Electric Transmission and Distribution industrystrongly preferred;Experience gained through manufacturing, municipal or other industrialindustries preferred;P.E. or PMP preferred.**Working Conditions:**Work is conducted in an office environment (Private or Semi-PrivateOffice) and requires occasional travel to off-site work locations
