A Construction Inspector is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Scranton, PA area. This position will oversee and report on outside plant (OSP) fiber optic construction projects, ensuring compliance with customer guidelines, safety standards, and quality requirements while addressing vendor activities and project progress. location: Scranton, Pennsylvania job type: Contract salary: $21.11 - 32.65 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: High School responsibilities: Collect and report daily vendor activities.Report daily production using Sitetracker mobile system.Review drawings and specifications to become familiar with the project.Monitor fiber optic plant construction to ensure compliance with customer guidelines and manufacturer standard recommended procedures (SRP).Perform quality inspections for ongoing and completed work using checklists and Sitetracker software.Visit project sites to evaluate progress.Respond to Project Manager and customer concerns or questions.Direct contractor activities when necessary.Understand and implement local construction methods and procedures.Ensure compliance with customer and industry specifications during OSP construction.Perform other related duties as assigned.
