Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven
Sr. AWS Cloud Architect
with a strong background in cloud infrastructure design and implementation, specifically within
mergers and acquisitions (M&A)
contexts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing robust and secure AWS solutions, ensuring seamless integration of acquired technologies, and leading cloud optimization strategies. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align cloud architecture with business objectives and provide technical leadership across various cloud initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Architecture Design
Design scalable, secure, high-performance AWS (or Google Cloud Platform) cloud architectures.
Ensure integration compatibility for existing systems during M&A processes.
M&A Integration
Lead technical integration of applications, infrastructure, and data from acquired entities.
Conduct impact assessments and migration planning for AWS transitions.
Technical Leadership
Provide hands-on architectural guidance.
Define best practices and technical standards for cloud deployments.
Stakeholder Engagement
Align cloud strategy with organizational goals through active collaboration with security, operations, and business units.
Present cloud integration roadmaps and updates to non-technical stakeholders.
Performance Optimization
Monitor and tune AWS environments for cost, performance, and high availability.
Enforce cloud governance, compliance, and security policies.
Documentation & Training
Create architectural documentation and diagrams.
Train internal engineering and operations teams on AWS best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
8 10 years of total IT engineering experience.
At least
5+ years of hands-on AWS Cloud architecture
Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and database services.
Prior experience in M&A cloud integration is
highly preferred
.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
