Director of Construction

Your new company: HAYS are currently recruiting for a Director of Construction to join a 20+ year established general contractor based in the Northern Virginia area. Successful candidates will currently be operating at a Director or Project Executive level and have experience in managing design-build projects with a high preference of project experience in the federal construction market. Seeking a professional with strong leadership and operational management skills. What you'll need to succeed: 10+ years of experience working for a general contractor delivering design-build construction projects in the capacity of a Director or Executive. High preference for federal construction projects, open to new-build or renovation experience. Strong leadership capabilities with previous management experience including that of Project Management, Field Management and Preconstruction teams totaling 15-20+ Comfortable commuting throughout the Northern Virginia, DC and some parts of MD. A 4-year degree is essential, ideally within construction, architecture, engineering or business-related discipline. Must be a US Citizen and ability to pass a background check and security clearance. What you'll get in return: Base salary in the range of $170K - $190K, assessed case by case on experience. $800 Vehicle allowance per month. Bonus potential up to 20% of your base. Company paid medical, dental, vision plans. Dependents can be added on at cost. Starting vacation allowance of 4 weeks plus 10 federal holidays. 401K plan with a company match.
