Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives creating opportunity for our current and prospective team members. As a result, a full-time position is available for a senior project architect at any of the following office locations: Bloomington, MN; Madison, WI; or Chicago, IL. This position would lead project teams focused on delivering architectural services for aviation facility projects.

Responsibilities include:

Coordinating multi-disciplinary in-house and sub-consultant team members

Working closely with clients and contractor/developer design/build partners

Assisting the Project Manager with pursuing projects

Coordinating and leading project teams

Building and maintaining strong client relationships

Developing and executing project workplans

Scheduling and facilitating team and client meetings

Developing and delivering presentations to clients, partners, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).

A valid driver's license is required. As a national practice, this position is expected to travel up to 25%.

The successful candidate must have all the following:

A Bachelor of Architecture (or higher) from an accredited college or university

At least 12 years of relevant experience

Current architectural license in the state office is located

The ideal candidate will have any/all the following:

Experience with aviation projects, assembling construction documents, specifications, construction administration, and generating and developing design concepts

Strong mentorship skills

Experience leading teams and clients in all phases of project development

Experience leading architectural teams through bidding and construction administration phase services for aviation facilities

NCARB Certified

Business development experience is a plus - seeking out and following through on new project opportunities in coordination with a team

Experience leading architectural services for federal facilities projects is a plus.

Salary Range: $105,000 to $135,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
