In a Nutshell We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Director to join our team within Vistry Cornwall South West, at our Plymouth site (PL6 8FA). As our Project Director, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the overall project strategy to Plan and Enable the delivery of circa 500 homes per year across Sherford on behalf of the Sherford Consortium. This will be achieved by working closely and in harmony with all key personnel and will include placemaking as required to deliver the Sherford New Town development. Lead the delivery of up to 500 homes per year across Sherford, coordinating across each consortium member. Act as the key liaison between the Sherford Consortium members (Taylor Wimpey, Vistry Group, Clarion Housing, etc.) and external stakeholders. Chair or contribute to development board meetings, ensuring all partners are aligned on timelines, budgets, and risk management. Lead the delivery of strategic infrastructure, including roads, drainage, new utilities, utility diversions (including overheads) and public spaces. Oversee the planning process including Reserved Matters (RM) applications and planning conditions (e.g. S73 and S96 applications), ensuring compliance with local authority requirements. Oversee land sales, commercial negotiations, and ancillary developments within the town. Develop and implement procurement strategies, appointment processes, and payment systems for contractors and consultants. Maintain strong relationships with local authorities, utility providers, community groups, and . Support the work of the Sherford Estate Management Company(s) and ensure smooth handovers to management companies. Identify and mitigate project risks while proactively seeking opportunities to improve delivery, reduce costs, or enhance community outcomes.Finally, let's tell you a bit more about us We build more than homes, we're making Vistry.
