Letter Fabrication-Face Forming-Welder

Letter fabricators fabricate metals and other products into the shapes of letters, retainers, trim cap and other products. From aluminum coiled stock, letters are formed into the shape of an alphabet letter. Sides are joined to the letter back with staples or by spot welding. Internal bracing is added to large letters.

- Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, written procedures and verbal instructions

- Ability to visualize 3-dimensional objects from 2-dimensional drawings

- Experience with metal fabricating machines, forming or rolling aluminum, and experience in spot welding

- High school graduate or equivalent

General Physical requirements include:

- the ability to stand and walk in approximately a 200 ft. radius for 8-10 hours/day

- ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50-80lbs

- ability to use correct body posture

- ability to maintain correct postures while reaching, bending, crouching, kneeling and twisting

- Ability to reach horizontally across a work surface beyond 12" from the body up to full body extension
