General Laborer

GENERAL LABORER
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a General Laborer for a company based in Kennedy , AL . In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a company that plays a pivotal role in the energy field. You will primarily be responsible for ensuring that wooden utility poles meet the proper quality standards and customer specifications.
Pay Rate
$ 17 .00 to $18.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 7 00 am to 3 3 0 pm.
General Laborer Duties and Responsibilities
Operate equipment and handle material safely to prevent damage to product.
Use industrial drills, chainsaws, and various hand tools to position and prepare utility poles.
Cut flat surfaces on the poles using a portable planer .
Brand customer information into poles .
Perform minor maintenance on the tools and equipment to ensure proper performance .
Place steel beams between layers of poles while being loaded into a dry kiln.
Complete various manual labor tasks .
Follow all safety regulations and requirements required for Zero Harm compliance .
Other work-related duties as required .
General Laborer Qualifications and Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required .
Willing to be hands on with physical production .
Must be able to work in all outside weather conditions (wet, hot, cold) .
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs .
Ability to work well with others, have attention to detail, work in a safe manner, and be willing to work overtime when needed .
