Lead Refrigeration Technician

One of our Utilities clients is looking for a Lead Refrigeration Technician to join their team in Manheim, PA. This is a unique opportunity to spearhead a new team within the company, so we are looking for an individual with an entrepreneurial outlook. The Lead Refrigeration Technician will oversee complex mechanical, refrigerant, and electrical issues related to all refrigeration systems, including engine, cooling, heating, and onboard computer modules. In addition to handling repairs and modifications of semi-trailer refrigeration units, the technician will lead efforts to implement growth strategies, establish efficient processes, and drive improvements in refrigeration repair services. The role also includes providing customers with accurate repair estimates and expected completion timelines.

- Formal training from Thermo King or Carrier.
- Over 5 years of experience working with refrigeration and A/C units in the transportation industry.
- Must hold EPA 608 certification (Type II or Universal).
- Proficient in handling Freon, with a strong understanding of associated rules and regulations.
- Experience with Thermo King or Carrier repairs is required.
- Skilled in recovering, reclaiming, and recharging Reefer units.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Flexible schedule required to respond to and coordinate after-hours service calls.
