As a Zero Trust Architect , youll shape the data and application-layer enforcement strategy for an advanced, agency-wide data platform. Youll help architect the policies, controls, and technical frameworks that ensure only the right users, models, and services can access the right data, at the right time, and for the right mission .

Youll collaborate across cybersecurity, data engineering, cloud, and AI/ML teams to develop secure-by-design capabilities that scale across enclaves, tenants, and missions. With your expertise, well transform data protection into a proactive, policy-driven system that supports warfighter decisions, advanced analytics, and AI enablement all while meeting the strictest Zero Trust principles.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, secure data systems, or platform security design

  • Experience with Zero Trust principles and architectures , including NIST 800-207 or DoD Zero Trust Strategy

  • Experience implementing data-layer and application-layer controls , such as tagging, labeling, redaction, and classification-based enforcement

  • Experience with modern data platforms, such as Accumulo, Snowflake, Delta Lake, S3, or Elastic, and API-layer access patterns

  • Experience working with or supporting cloud-based or classified government environments, such as AWS GovCloud, C2S, or JWICS

  • Experience in working with Identity and Access Management (IAM), PKI, and federated identity systems

  • Knowledge of attribute-based access control (ABAC), policy enforcement points (PEPs) , and dynamic access models

  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with OPA , Rego , or other policy-as-code frameworks

  • Experience in DoD data strategy, data mesh, or federated data platforms

  • Experience building secure-by-design AI/ML environments , with policy-enforced model access and secure retraining workflows

  • Experience integrating data tagging and ABAC policies with AI platforms

  • Knowledge graphs, or multi-tenant data science environments

  • CISSP , CISM , GIAC-GSNA, Zero Trust Security Architect, or AWS Security Specialty Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individuals particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allens total compensation package for employees.
