BGS is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Engineer to join our Commercial Modifications Engineering team in Long Beach, California . In this role, you will support the development and maintenance of electrical product details, assembly, and installation designs for a diverse range of commercial aircraft, including the McDonnell Douglas MD series and the Boeing 777X.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Entry-Level and Associate Electrical Engineer.
You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while assisting in the design and implementation of electrical installation solutions that enhance aircraft capabilities and operational efficiency. You will participate in projects that involve retrofitting existing aircraft with advanced connectivity systems, optimizing electrical layouts, and ensuring the integration of new technologies. Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain basic cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs
- Assist with engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests)
- Develop and maintain basic electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry, antennas)
- Follow documented processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities
- Collect data to support the development of statements of work
- Assist in data gathering of supplier capabilities
- Review functional and physical input used in the development of integrated design and system architecture
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 2+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Summary Pay Range Entry Level: $73,100 - $98,900
Summary Pay Range Associate Level: $87,550 - $118,450
